Brother!
This Book has no doubt in it - guidance for the God-fearing,
{Surah Al Baqarah, V 2:2}
Ok Brother nadeeshaF, so you have stated from the Quraan and Sunnah (the legal ways) where doubts have been found! The matter is how do you find it as did you look at a single verse or the whole chapter?
But before anything keep away from the mind of adolescence words as that’s what not in any religion or whatever taught you ok! That’s another story!
I have read the Quraan and even I have seen such doubts and contradictions! But to see it’s nothing but contradistinction (Contradistinction means speaking about two different concepts on the same subject without conflict)
So you have been looking at the Quraan and Sunnah in a philosophy manner! Good is good and bad is bad! Look, Murderers are sentenced to death and thieves are sent jail! Why?
So as per the Quraan verse you stated is the Surah Al-Ma'idah and look!
“As to the thief, Male or female, cut off his or her hands: a punishment by way of example, from Allah, for their crime: and Allah is Exalted in power” (5:38)
That is all you stated, and what does it really mean of the highlighted one in blue! It’s says as for a man or a woman who commits theft cut off the hands of both to punish them for what they earned: a punishment by way of example from Allah. So further let’s see.
You forget to state one thing as every Muslims says this “In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.”
Look further in the chapter you found out!
“As to the thief, Male or female, cut off his or her hands: a punishment by way of example, from Allah, for their crime: and Allah is Exalted in power But if the thief repents after his crime, and amends his conduct, Allah turned to him in forgiveness; for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful” (5:38-39)
Now what does it mean to you?
It’s say that as for a man or a woman who commits theft cut off the hands of both to punish them for what they earned, a punishment by way of example from Allah. But if he or she repents after his or her wrong doing and apologies his or her behavior, Allah turned to him in forgiveness; for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
This is done to be fear of Allah for the wrong deeds, so that we may not commit such a sin for the punishment!
The punishment should be given after judging the person only but not in a direct manner
You have been misunderstood as this was a 8 year old boy but what if it’s was a man?
So according to the incidents why didn’t they cut the hand than crushing it? Why did they keep a cloth under his than just crushing it? And why did they do it as he stealed it for the purpose to fill his hunger? Are they are fools? And why did they do it in public than officially?
I don’t believe this incident as the real situation to know the video is not yet published!
The boy who have stealed the bread and they decided to harm but not to completely crush his hand as in the sixth pic you can see that there is no blood bleeding and the seventh pic of this incident you can see he is perfectly normal! You can see from the first pic the man is holding a microphone to announce publicity! But the problem is that they didn’t do it officially. Actually this is done by a person who hates Islam to spread the message of Islam in bad images! To see it’s just a show! And other people watching was also just sitting and waiting normal!
Look! People hate Islam!
So you don’t judge into behaviors of the people of Islam! But judge into Islam! So that you can find what you wanting to know!
One thing I want to show you from the Surah Al-Ma'idah as stated:
O Messenger, those who race towards disbelief should not be a cause of grief for you, be they from those who say with their mouths, .We believe, while their hearts do not believe, or from those who are (pronounced) Jews. They are listeners to the fallacy, listeners to other people who did not come to you. They distort the words after they had been properly placed. They say, .If you are given this, take it, and if you are not given this, then avoid it. The one whom Allah wills to put to trial, you cannot do anything for him against Allah. They are the ones whose hearts Allah did not intend to purify. For them there is humiliation in this world, and for them there is a great punishment in the Hereafter. (5:41) don’t forget!
