Depends Based on what u r interested in mchan. If u expect the degree to give u everything, it will not take u anywhere. Its really nice to see someone having a clear idea on what he is going to do and trying to get prepared.
a fundamental programming knowledge is a must. First try to get the basic concepts.
Then you can focus on identifying the area u r willing to continue. For that, first two years give you more than basic understanding. Still i suggest you to learn atleast the basics of some(networking, database, web development...) while u wait at home till u get the letter. U will understand what to master by doing that(what ur heart asks from u

). Whatever u choose, keep urself uptodate with the latest trends and technologies under that.
I knw this is a tough ask if u have no idea in CS or IT,
BUt i can assure u by the time u start the degree u can continue mastering whatever u want without being stressed about academics.
