Producer of Super Sixes, Sadesh Kumar has reportedly managed to nail Sri Lanka beauty queen and rising Bollywood star Jacqueline Fernandez for his new Sinhala movie ‘Pravegaya’.

This is the largest fee charged by an actress to appear in a Sinhala movie.
Even the top rupee Indian actress Pooja Umashankar was paid in Sri Lanka was Rs. one million.
Sadesh has reportedly come to the agreement with Jacqueline during her recent visit to Sri Lanka as a judge at a leading beauty contest, ‘Sri Lanka Mirror’ learns.
Pravegaya, which is a remake of the Indian superhit Polladhavan, starred Superstar Rajnikanth’s son in law - Dhanush and Divya Spandana.
Loosely based on ‘bicycle thieves’, the plot features Prabhu (Dhanush) - a happy-go-lucky middle class family guy who spends time playing carrom in the streets with his friends.
One day, when Prabhu questions his father’s responsibility towards his upbringing, his angry father gives Prabhu some of his savings and tells him to do something with his life.
Prabhu purchases a Bajaj Pulsar bike instead and finds a job.The bike eventually saves his life from a freak incident and gets lost, subjecting him to interminable anguish as he searches for his bike.
The film revolves around several incidents that occur as Prabhu comes into conflict with the underworld during his search.
The Sinhala remake will feature Hemal Ranasinghe as its male lead with Jackson Anthony as his brother, reports say.
The script is written by ‘Mahesh Rathsara Maddumaarachchi’, whose scripts include that of films King Hunther and Angelika as well as popular teledramas such as Pabalu and Ama.
Music for Pravegaya will be created by Sri Lanka’s popular pop duo, Bathiya and Santhush.
Sources say that they are to appear in the film as well.
The rest of the cast will include, Jaalath Manorathne, Jackson Anthony, Mahendra Perera, Sangeetha Weeraratne, Moreen Charuni, Tiron Michael, Janitha Wickremage, Hemantha Iriyagama, Saman Hemaratne, D.B. Gangodathenna and J Jeyin.
Shooting will commence on Sep. 22 and will be held in several locations including Colombo, Galle and Nuwara Eliya.
Meanwhile, ‘Sri Lanka Mirror’ also learns that the film industry in Sri Lanka is buzzing over the fact that Sadesh Kumar is prepared to spend another huge budget on ‘Pravegaya’ soon after the massive budget of Rs. 93 million spent for his ‘Super Sixes’ film.
