Companies spend money on various things, some initiatives succeed, others fail. It does not matter how much they spent on Ballerina or other failed technologies. In the end, they sold the company for $600M.

In which part did I say that knowing multiple languages is engineering? You could be proficient in all the programming languages in the world and still just be a developer. I think this is the time for you to dorp Java and start learning english.

All of this could be true, but does any of those matter now??

The company grew and was sold.

This kind of things are common for any company, regardless of how small or how large it is.

Many things went wrong at Apple, Google, Microsoft, etc. Apple almost went bankrupt around 1997. AMD lost its chip war to intel in 2010s, you know where are they now, same goes with initel etc.
Likewise, none of those things matter now.


Java is one of the most popular, proven, and battle-hardened technologies we have. I don’t think Java will ever be dead. However, its popularity is slowly declining as new technologies emerge.

Android has moved away from Java. Java used to be the go-to technology for enterprise and secure application development, but languages like Go and Kotlin have come a long way and have caught up.
Same goes with C/C++, with modern languages like Rust

Mama python, nodejs packages rust වලින් ලියලා port කරා python, wasm වලට. ඉස්සරහට ගොඩක් ඒව එහෙම කරයි.
