what is best programming language 4 smone to study concerning about "job opportunities" in SL??
(if i go abroad u hv oppprtunities 4 both.. ryt? )

i knw accordin to the world rankings java is No 1
bt ppl say u hv more job opprtunities + da future will b good for .NET in SL..

i'll b cmpletin my IT degree soon n im hopin to do MCTS(C#.NET)
(even for a job i need to select one path ne.. )

is that a good choice?

There is nothing such..
My advice through practical experience is what ever the language you preferred or learn it does not matter.

Get the basic principals and algorithmic knowledge right.

Actually i started from c then use java then did network game development in c# then few with python...

so now combining all of them whenever the application demands it..

Do not go after one language.it is ok to have one language as ur strength but you will realize in real world you cant purely depend on one language.

Get the basics right just changing the syntax is one r two days work.

c# and java has almost same syntax :)

oya kathawe attak thiyenawa thamai... cos mamath dekama stdy karala thiyenawa.. habai c# walata thama kamathi ekai ahanna hithune..

If you are joining the industry yes it is..

If you are in to software project and involve in through out the development cycle you need to know software engineering practices too.

It is better to have a rough knowledge coz in real situation those matters a lot than coding :D
