ADD=Attention Defecit Disorder (basically kids who have trouble paying attention to any one task for a time).

In the US & Canada MANY kids are currently diagnosed with it, though lots of us (myself included) think that a lot of it's just an excuse by many for drugging their kids into being calm).

So an "ADD kid" wouldn't stay on one task for long - maybe even long enough to finish a joke.
