There are two levels of truths and true types of laws.
Paramartha and sammuthi

Military comes under Sammuthi Law.
Killing by Army in a war is
an accepted action by society.
Even in Army their are rules how to and when to kill.
Primitive Armies may neglect them.
but it is wrong.

Civilians can't act like soldiers.
Terrorists are Civilians who commit crimes.
Any civilian with a criminal mind is against law and harmful for the society.
Even a soldier who is not on duty is governed by same laws.
Even if he is in the same circumstances where he is allowed to kill
he can't do it off duty.


If you kill,
firstly you have to answer the state law.
The judge and Jury will decide whether you are punishable.
It is your skill to prove you are innocent,
no matter what you really did.
One may avoid that part of the law.

Then comes the Paramartha sathya.
The ultimate law.
Everyone is governed by this law.
I refer to this law
and try to live according to that.
But I don't think ir expect everyone to live the life I lead.
That is my choice
and I am free to talk about that.

He taught wisdom..

So one's forgiveness is a delusion for every action will bear fruits.
Karuna & Pillayan are forgiven.
Shouldn't they pay for the crimes they committed in the past.
They have skipped State law.

Buddha went deeper.
He taught the technique,
Vipassana to develop Metta
which will be transformed into Karuna
when one see someone in trouble.
When one decide with a defiled mind
thoughts are defiled with greed, hatred etc.
When one think with a mind
not disturbed with defilements will have metta.

Metta, Karuna, Muditha and Upeksha knows NO boundaries.
Metta is same for all living beings.


Karuna and Pillayan too
deserve our Karuna.
They are in trouble for what they did
as long as they are in Sansara.

Even though I don't approve killing, I eat any meat (Including yours if I have to )

BUT,

Sometimes people have to kill other people for greater good and if the majority approves it.

And for your own survival people can kill others - which is purely logical.

Same applies to LTTE. For our own survival, SL forces kill LTTE.
And the reverse is also true. LTTE kills SL forces for their own survival.
