(Lanka-e-News, Aug.24, 2010, 11.30PM) Ven. Inamaluwe Sri Sumangala Thero when met by the President on the 23rd, at Dambulla Vihara said, what is necessary for Sri Lanka is a humane dictator, and the ideal candidate for that is President Rajapakse.
When the President visited the Uyanwatte Rajamaha Vihara to meet Ven.Inamaluwe Sri Sumangala Thero yesterday (23) after his tour of Sigiriya, the Ven. Thero made this comment.
Our country is in need of improvement and development. If this is to be achieved, the Executive Presidency must be stretched so that a humane Dictator ship would follow for the next six years. The other countries in the world which developed were also based on this line, the Thero observed.
The most suitable candidate for this post of humane dictator is you. Hence, during the next six years, go ahead on that line and develop this country, the Thero requested the President.
