ඉතිං උඹත් දාපන් කෝඩ්ස් අක්කිට සුකන්නො, අර සුකන කෝඩ් කෑලි නොදා. මේ ඉතිං උඹේ හැකියාව ලෝකෙට පෙන්නන්න දාන්න කියන්නෙ, තරහකට නෙවේ, හොදේ ෆකයො.

If you are a real CS researcher then you should have the ability to understand math , papers and concepts and explain it to others or implement it.
even using python is oky.
Hard part is understanding and think about a new thing, a new math concept to solve the problem, that's the pushing the edges and limits.


About me I'm a firmware engineer for a future 500, but what I do is just dig and fix firmware bugs in our hardware, and porting to new BSP and environments.
But the thing is that I never closer to a person who actually doing research, who wrote their papers with a new idea. But I could somewhat read and understand papers since I'm a Computer Science master student.

You will also come to that level very sooner. But FUCK OFF MAN !

Signal Processing is not my domain. I really hate show offs. Don't ask me to do a video.

This is pure gate keeping bullshit. Let me gate keep you, if you don't understand philosophy, you don't understand Mathematics.

In fact, I have seen so many good actors who have never studied film theory.

Likewise with anything, there are participators and experts. Implementing a game engine your own doesn't offer any insight how Game engine really work. You still only get bare understanding. You need a PhD in Mathematics to fully understand how Game Engines and 3D programming works.

Having an advanced knowledge for example a PhD in maths, doesn't necessarily translate into being a good developer.

I can assure you @Dark_Night_of_the_Soul can land a job if he wants without the need for understanding the deep theory of 3D Game Engines.

We have people who wants to understand how computers actually works. I tell you, it's next to impossible to understand how exactly computers works.

No one will never have a solid mental model of how a computer actually works, just lower level abstractions. Even if your understanding it at the level of, say, electron orbitals.

Modern processors execute instructions speculatively and out of order, memory access is faked by caches, and memory itself got weird problems like row hammer.

Only very few people have found ways to break thru every abstractions, but their understanding will be wrong in the next generation if it isn't wrong already as we're at a point where understanding the computer architecture is basically impossible because it's proprietary and hidden behind abstractions that are largely fictitious and it's only going to get horrible over the time.

And it's also a good thing that a lots of people can be very productive in their domains without understanding theory.

Don't compare me to Pissu Kasun. I have attitudes.
