There was this session "Kadala with koombiyo" if I recall correctly.
In it were the people behind koombiyo.
I think it was Lakmal who said that koombiyo 2 won't be made.
People involved in it were not main stream people, who were not after fame or money. Even now you can not find the dude who played Mahaulpathagama in main stream tele dramas.

They never thought it would be this famous.
If Lakmal stands by his words. we will never see season 2.
But we never know.
