LTTE violence threatens anti-LTTE activists in Norway
violent clash between two LTTE’s internal rival factions erupted in Oslo-Norway has created a major law and order problem as the spillover effects could threaten anti LTTE groups and Tamil civilians. According to the Asian Tribune one person was killed in the attack and two others received serious injuries. The injured are undergoing medical treatments at hospital.
One of the victims has sustained both pistol shot injury and a deep cut by a large Samurai sword. The other was with gun shot injuries in the chest. Another victim, who was driven over by one of the escapee’s car, is also receiving medical care. Reports revealed that he sustained minor injuries and in stable condition, news sources adds.
Reports revealed that clashes erupted between the supporters of LTTE’s Naval Commander Soosai and cadres from the intelligence wing led by Pottu Amman.
The Norwegian Police has recovered some of the weapons used in the attack including few murder weapons, a sword and a pistol. It is believed that at least ten LTTE terror supporters were involved in the incident.
The Police will take necessary action to apprehend the culprits as they have received the names of some persons involved in the attack.
Further the foreign news sources have stated that some of the members engaged in the attack were called up from France and they have entered the Norwegian soil illegally.
One of the attackers is wanted for murder in Europe, according to the Police.
Police are concerned that there may be a network of Tamil Tiger terrorists operating in Europe to target only dissident Tamils. They avoid targeting any European interests or individuals. Their man objective is to control the Tamil diaspora in Europe to collect money. This ring of Tamil Tigers attack rival Tamils to prevent them from competing for the Tamil diaspora funds. Norway is seen as the central point for the Tamil Tigers, the Asian Tribune states.
Meanwhile it is reported that the members of anti-LTTE Tamil Diaspora living in Norway are accusing the authorities saying that Norway has turned a blind eye to the criminal activities of the LTTE terrorists and for not taking adequate measures to prevent the occurrence of such incidents which has created a huge threat to the Tamil civilians and anti-LTTE groups living peacefully.
