Kubuntu is a free, user-friendly operating system based on the K Desktop Environment and on the award winning Ubuntu operating system. With a biannual release cycle and at least 18 months of free security updates for each release, it is the secure, stable computing environment you've been waiting for..

    Where I'm now
Kubuntu is Ubuntu but with KDE desktop enironment. It has better graphical features. And Kubuntu comes with pre installed software.Many.If you can get the Kubuntu DVD image downloaded,It has almost all software like Wine, openoffice installed + the packages can be separated for installation in another. And the UI is much friendlier and beautiful.

Select the Linux OS to match U
    1) Kubuntu - If U r a user who wish to test the linux. This version is very easy to handle. Updates and extra binary packages (Programs) are available @ internet

    2) SUSE: Ideal desktop OS. Perfect to run a day to day desktop activities. There good programmer packages to some extend @ default.

    3) Fedora: Most flexible Linux OS I ever saw. Hard to configure. But best results. Almost no binary packages. Source shud be download and compile software inside.

Do not think about outer look. Fedora and SUSE both have KDE and Gnome.
I am using Linux from 2002. My choice is fedora. Now using fedora 9 (64 bit) with xp dual boot.
