r. and Mrs Lalith Kothalawala banned emigration

Mount Lavinia Chief Magistrate and Additional District Judge Harsha Sethunga issued notices barring Mr. Lalith Kothalawala and his wife Mrs. Sisiliya Kothalawala emigrating.
Deshamanya Kothalawala is the Chairman of Ceylinco Group of Companies and he is a member of the director board of the Golden Key Credit Company that is under a probe pertaining to a financial fraud. The judge ordered 12 persons of Golden Key Credit Company including the Financial Director and the Deputy Chairman to appear in the court on January 12, 2009. Criminal Investigation Department (CID) reported to court today (31) that a mismanagement of finances had taken place in the company and the actual deposits could exceed the illustrated amount of Rs. 5700 million.
