Hey guys Im a ADSL Home package user. I usually download around 20BG per month. Recently my speed is down to about 5kBps when surfing the web :oo: I saw a thread about new slt tariff charges. And I did some research and found out about new tariff charges of Lankabell. :)

http://www.trc.gov.lk/images/pdf/trc_lb_10_6_p.pdf

This info is from TRC itself.
Finally I would like to say FUCK YOU SLT.

wow great news .. im a lankabell user who moved from SLT im really satisfied with there service..

cable that used by slt called SEA-ME-WE 4 (South East Asia-Middle East-West Europe 4) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SEA-ME-WE_4
has only a bandwidth of with a total capacity of 1.28 Tbit/s...
and that bandwidth from London is shared between telecommunications between Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Egypt, Italy, Tunisia, Algeria and France. as Weekipedia says..

Well Lankabell Has There Own Cable cost of US $ 27 million and a 3billion investment
    http://www.lankanewspapers.com/news/2008/6/29165.html
and there cable is connected to the FLAG Cable System which is connected directly to 50countrys.. and Even USA and also linked to AT&T cables.. and this cable has a connection speed of 1.20 Tbit/s to Srilanka through the Lankabell network
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiber-Optic_Link_Around_the_Globe

Slt has more internet uses and they have no international bandwidth..

I think the download limit will also be applied to current Unlimited users as well. Cuz I know my connecttion have been limited and I havent downloaded more than 10GB. This is way better than SLT's new tariff. 2mbps for 2500 vs 3500 from SLT.

I think the bandwidth limit of 8gb will be applied to current Home Package users. After 8GB it will be slow like hell. But new happy package users will have to pay 0.35RS after 8gb to get full speed. I mean who would buy the happy package when wheres a unlimited package :P
Guys how about the ping of Lankabell?
