Lanka match fixed

The match fixing scandal involving Pakistani cricketers has begun to reveal more details with the main suspect saying even the Asia cup match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in June this year was fixed.

The News of the World, which exposed the massive match fixing scandal over the weekend, has now quoted Mazhar Majeed as saying that he usually fixes specific details of a game and not the whole result but the Asia cup match involving Sri Lanka was fixed.

"We don't do results that often. The last one we did was against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup, which was about two months ago. And you get a script as well, (such as) this bowler is going to concede this many runs, this batsman will do this,” the match fixer who was arrested yesterday was quoted as saying.

The newspaper named Pakistan's new captain, Salman Butt, top bowlers Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif and wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal as cheats who worked with the fixer.

Salman Butt was bowled for zero in the Asia cup match by Lasith Malinga while Mohammad Asif went for 55 runs off the 9 overs he bowled and Mohammad Amir 57 runs off his 10 overs.

cricinfo is flooded with reports abt this ongoing saga...
yeah I think tz time some action is taken against PCB looks like they have no control or management over there players.

I think if this investigation goes on more players will be penalized not only players from Pakistan (hopefully no SriLankan )

I too hope so man,but in that article some person from high in ICC(which I don't remember his name ) claimed that there is a big chance of pakistan getting suspended from ICC in near future & that will be a good rest for 'em.who knows what will happen
