Sri Lanka Cricket set to launch Lanka Premier League in August 2018

According to reports, the T20 competition in Sri Lanka will comprise six teams with local and foreign players​

Update

Former Sri Lanka Batsman & International Commentator Russel Arnold to be appointed as Lanka Premier League T20 tournament director

He will take up the position on May 1, Sri Lanka Cricket confirmed yesterday. The tournament is expected to feature some big international names (but no Indians) and will be played between August 18- September 10 this year. Indian cricketers are not allowed to compete in other domestic leagues by their Board.

As overall head, Arnold is expected to work closely with Boards around the world to attract top international stars for the tournament and also make it financially profitable to Sri Lanka Cricket.

The inaugural LPL will see six teams battling it out for the title. SLC said each team will play ten first round matches--two matches against each team.

2018 අගෝස්තු 18 සිට සැප්තැම්බර් 16 දක්වා කණ්ඩායම් 6 ක සහභාගීත්වයෙන් පැවැත්වෙන Lankan Premier League හෙවත් LPL තරඟාවලියේ ඉන්දියානු කලාපීය නිල විකාශන අයිතිය හිමි කර ගැනීමට Dsport නාලිකාවත් බංග්ලාදේශ දේශීය විකාශන අයිතිය හිමි කර ගැනීමට Channel 9 නාලිකාවත් ඉදිරිපත් වී ඇති බව ශ්‍රී ලංකා ක්‍රිකට් ආයතනයේ විශ්වාසදායී ආරංචි මාර්ග පවසයි.
එමෙන්ම තරඟාවලිය රටවල් 150 කට අධික සංඛ්‍යාවක ක්‍රිකට් ප්‍රේක්ෂකයන් වෙත නැරඹීමේ අවස්ථාව හිමි කර දීමට සැලසුම් කර ඇති බවද වැඩිදුරටත් අනාවරණය විය.
ඉතා නුදුරේදීම LPL තරඟාවලියේ ක්‍රීඩක වෙන්දේසියද පැවැත්වීමට නියමිත අතර ඊට ප්‍රථම ලොව පුරා සියළුම විකාශන අයිතීන් ලබා දීම් නිම කෙරෙනු ඇත.
