atleast 1%(obviously more than that) of da fee is comming to SL govenment unlike if the student goes abroad da whole 100% goes to da specific country

Why can't government have payed students in government universities? Why people shy away from such a plan? Are the payed students afreaid to sit the same exam with the non-paid ones? Then 100% of money will be with SL.

and another fact is dat wen SL students go abroad thy most of them dont return back to SL in this way thy remain in SL so that da resourses remains in SL

I don't know about other fields, but in Medical field 95% of them DO come back to SL. People who leave the county have their relatives abroad. ANd most of them are graduates of Government universities.

well at da moment less dan 10% who pass their ALs get da chance to enter uni.
why???

cuz SL goventment do not/cannot afford more funds to expand da uni's which already excist in SL nor do they hav any interest to build more uni's

(but ma personal idea is IF we improve and expand da capacity of govenment uni's there will be no need of privet uni's

but this is one reason too

even wen it comes medicine u have to admit dat still students dnt return up to some extent

That's the very reason I propose paid students to enter Government Universities. That money can be used to upgrade the existing system. Then the universities will not be dependent on the Govenment for the funds. The problems which are faced by current students will also ease up due to improvements of infra structure. Now try to understabnd the concept. GUs should be able to raise their own money, to improve their standards.

That does not happen automatically. For an example except for few leading medical schools in the worls (number is less than 15), most of the private universities, the training of a medical graduate is inferior to that to UOC. That's a well known fact.

Surprise, it happens today s well. SL trains medical graduates from Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives in state universities. And they pay about 50 million rupees to the govenment. This facility is only open to about 10-15 students per year and all students should be forign ATM. But the system works.

This "some" is <5%. And people who stay there will any way end up there, ebcause most of them have PR or relatives in the particular country.

thy can easyly put some rule saying dat all graduates shud serve da country for this much of years and its compulsury or some crap like dat
but wen thy not with in reach its hard to gain control on them

well IF SL govenment take more students to da UNI's there will be no need of puting up new PU's
but this is SL bro
see da state of to "rajarate campus"
a lecture shud travel 6-8 to give lecture and come back to COL for his next lecture
so how come govenment UNI feild be efficiant
