It's ok machan. If your dad satisfied with the laptop's performance then go for a better graphic designer monitor and plug it to your laptop. Color profiling is the most important thing in photo editing and print design.
Now there is a issue when its come to mobility. I'll gave a look and suggest you a good laptop with at least adequate display.
