a lot of my friends in Lanka want to leave and come to England or go to Aus.. Why? Sri Lanka is the greatest country on earth.

my plan over the next 5 years is to build a house in SL then leave this stinking country once and for all. I hope that when that day comes, peace will have happened although the war does not frighten me.

Well, 1st of all not all the people who live abroad does fall into one big single category!

For some people its a bit personal, some things cant really be discussed in a public forum..

So yes! glad you think like that but there's always two sides to a story!

yes, i understand your point but from my own experience, the friends i refer to wanting to leave only see the grass on the other side as greener. I have many sinhalese friends in england who are here for many different reasons- some personal, some just for financial gain to help themselves and/or their families back home.

well i am planning to leave sl for sum tym, bt will never stay in a foreign country for ever, i was born in sl and ill die in sl, bt during dat tym to make up my life and ma future ill go to anyplace in the world. Dats all

For us we can say life is gud in Sl bt for sumone else whos not privilaged dan us will allways shout at us whn we say dis kinda stuff,
Sumtyms d amnts we spend for a day would help dat person to feed his family for one whole month,

Machang I lived 22 years in Sri lanka. But in here I've earned a lot of reputation in just 3 years.

Money... I don't consider money as a fart even. Money is not everything...

But freedom, opportunities, environment matters a lot.

Think about a WebCam based Stress management system.. Think about a Voice recognised search engine... Think about a Mobile based marketing system. All those I could Implement while in Sri Lanka. But no..

Sri Lankan politics are corrupted mate.....

When the war is no more there, and when there is a good government, I will concider comming to sri lanka for good
