OK you all are welcome to my thread. well, today morning while I was straining(තටමනවා) on the commode, an idea came to me, why not post a thread on Elakiri to convert our day to day thoughts into English ?


How it works ?

Simple! Just post your thought or expression in Sinhala that you would like translated into English. But before that, check if there are any pending Sinhala sentences that have been posted by other members to be translated into English. If there are any... translate them first. Then, you can ask for your Sinhala sentence to be translated within the same post.

I kindly ask you not use any online translators.

"ඔයාල දන්නවද ? ඉමොජි ඩයරිස් අපිව දාල රට යන්නයි යන්නෙ. එයා මාලිමාවට ඡන්දෙත් දීලා අන්තිමට එයා අපිව දාල රට යනවා. එයා රට යන නිසා එයාට තිබුණා කාටවත් ඡන්දෙ නොදී ඉන්න."

and wtf is this, what are you expecting from seeing translations like this? you the best way to learn good usable english is to watch english yt vids movies and tv series without subs and speaking your thought in English when you are alone. People might think you are crazy but that work like a charm
