I do not agree with that very simply part.... Yeah.... linux comes with many sw... so u can do stuff... but there are sw for windows platform too ne... OS makes the communication between application and hardware... itihn os walin kohomada karana wada hithanne... ea gana hithanna applications ne macho balanna ona!

and its open source. II f u know the codes u can customize them to fit ur requirements. No need to run after serials and activation keys.

Hey Anusha,We dont license things under GNU. GNU means GNU is Not Unix.But it might be licensed under GPL (GNU Public License).Or mozilla Or Sun license.

IMHO this Vixta thingy is a step to make more ppl use Linux.Using a close name,feel and look.The problem with linux is there is help but u need Internet and hard to configure coz of advanced tweakings.This might be a step to reduce that gap.

i am runing Ubuntu+Vista+XP+Vixta on dual boot. belive it or not i do not argue over someones software. i simply install them and freaking use them
