Linux Help to configure ADSL modem

I have Repotec ADSL modem which support only for win.. (driver CD).. I want to make it configured to UBUNTU linux.... The brand is REPOTEC ADSL modem (model - RP-MO056) it uses Conexant Access Runner driver in xp

Ohh god.. if you use a router... u hv nothing to configure... just open the browser n browse... (Provided that ur network card is detected, which is rare to see instances which do not...)

plz tell me how to configure a router in win xp ( tried one of my friends router in my pc but i didn't fix it properly so now i am useing a ADSL Modem)

machan normal ubuntu detects the modems automatically.if you are using a router then no need to configure anything ubuntu detects it automatically.but in this cass u might have to change ur Xorg. i'm not sure how to do this. but machan if you put this question in ubuntu forum i'm sure you'll gett a answer

I had the same modem before. I was failed to configure it under ubuntu. Even though if possible, it will be damn hard to configure a USB modem under ubuntu. I suggest you to buy a router. All you have to do is to have a configured Network Card. Almost all network cards automatically get configured under ubuntu. so you do not have to do anything.
