In sri Lanka you may be heard about lions club.(Like 306 C, Mrs.Soma Edirisinghe is member of a lions Club).this is a great international movement If asachan talking about this kind of lions club it is prohibited by the constitution of lions international to collect members for a club like this. there are certain proceedings to establish a lions club.
on the other hand if asachan is talking about another type of a club it is also a offence under the law of sri lanka as there is already stablished registered movement named "Lion". he has to change its name.

Membership in a Lions club is by invitation. It's also possible to start a new club.
