Rainbow (also known as Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow or Blackmore's Rainbow) were a British hard rock band formed in California, controlled by guitarist Ritchie Blackmore from 1975 to 1984 and 1994 to 1997. They were originally established with American blues rock band Elf's members, though over the years Rainbow went through many line-up changes with no two studio albums featuring the same line-up. In addition to lead singers Ronnie James Dio, Graham Bonnet, Joe Lynn Turner and Doogie White, the project consisted of numerous backing musicians. The band started out combining mystical lyric themes with neo-classical metal, but went in a more streamlined commercial style following Dio's departure from the group. Rainbow were ranked No. 90 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. The band has sold over 28 million albums worldwide and 4 million albums in the United States.

Enigma is an electronic musical project founded in Germany by Michael Cretu, David Fairstein and Frank Peterson in 1990. The Romanian-born Cretu conceived the Enigma project while working in Germany, but based his recording studio A.R.T. Studios in Ibiza, Spain, from the early 1990s until May 2009, where he has recorded all of Enigma's studio releases to date. Cretu is both the composer and the producer of the project. His former wife, pop singer Sandra, often provided vocals on Enigma tracks. Jens Gad co-arranged and played guitar on three of the Enigma albums. Peter Cornelius also contributed to Enigma during the 1990s. Seven studio albums have been produced under the name of the project.

The Complete Columbia Albums Collection features the output of the original Mahavishnu Orchestra (John McLaughlin, Billy Cobham, Jan Hammer, Rick Laird, and Jerry Goodman). When it was released in 2012, this compact box set sold for roughly the same price as two full-price CDs. It contains the studio albums The Inner Mounting Flame (1971) and Birds of Fire (1973). The live release Between Nothingness Eternity (1973) is joined by Unreleased Tracks from Between Nothingness Eternity, which features three cuts from the same August 1973 Central Park performance documented on the original, along with another three cuts recorded the previous night at the same location. The fifth and final disc is the 1999-released The Lost Trident Sessions. As with similar Legacy sets for Stanley Clarke, Weather Report, and George Duke, the discs are in durable LP replica sleeves that feature all-original artwork reproductions. Full credits are listed in the 15-page booklet, which also includes brief notes from McLaughlin and Richard Seidel.

Nineteen years after the release of Anthology, Motown finally tops that 33-track, three-LP compilation with this 82-track, four-and-a-half-hour, four-CD/cassette box set. The Jackson 5 were long overdue for box set treatment, and this one is well done. All the hits by the group as well as those by Michael and Jermaine Jackson are here (that is, from 1969-1975, the J5's tenure at Motown), along with a representative sampling of album cuts. the J5's albums were afterthoughts to their singles, but some of these songs are nevertheless interesting, whether the group is covering Sly and the Family Stone or Jackson Browne. An entire disc is given over to previously unreleased or rare tracks from the Motown vaults. Taken together, it may be more than all but the most die-hard fan wants to hear, which may be why Motown rushed out yet another single-disc hits collection, The Ultimate Collection, a couple of months later. The last frontier for Motown is the Great White Way and so, in 2013, the Sound of Young America hit Broadway via a jukebox musical loosely focused on the rise of Berry Gordy Jr. in the ?60s.
To accompany this musical came Motown Originals: The Classic Songs That Inspired the Broadway Show!, another repackaging of the songs you know and love: ?Get Ready,? ?Dancing in the Street,? ?Shop Around,? ?My Guy,? ?Where Did Our Love Go,? ?I Want You Back,? etc. There are two versions, one a single disc and one a double, but in either incarnation there are no songs that will surprise because that?s not the intent of this compilation.
This is supposed to serve up the biggest and best songs of Motown, and it does. While it is hard to believe that many Motown fans don?t have these?

?tunes somewhere in their collections, it?s also hard to believe that anybody who doesn?t won?t wind up satisfied by this enjoyable collection.
The 2-CD version ups the tracks from 14 to 40, making room for artists not represented on the highlights disc such as early hitmaker Barrett Strong (?Money (That?s What I Want)?), The Contours (?Do You Love Me?), The Four Tops (?Baby, I Need Your Loving?), Rick James (?Super Freak?) and The Commodores (?Brick House?). The Temptations? psychedelic soul period gets aired on the 2-CD set (?Ball of Confusion,? ?Cloud Nine?) as well as the post-Ross Supremes era (?Up the Ladder to the Roof?). Each track on the single-disc version is also present on the double-disc edition. As the musical hasn?t begun previews yet, there?s no word on whether the track listing of either edition reflects the actual sequence of the songs in the musical penned by Gordy. ? The Second Disc

Blue are an English RB Brit Award-winning group consisting of members Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe. The band originally formed in 2000, releasing three studio albums, All Rise (2001), One Love (2002) and Guilty (2003) that all peaked at number one in the United Kingdom alongside releasing sixteen singles, over a four year period. The group also worked alongside artists such as Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Lil Kim. In late 2004, the group announced that they would be going on a two year hiatus and released their first compilation album, Best of Blue on 15 November 2004. However in 2005, the group confirmed that they would be splitting due to wanting to pursue solo careers.
