This small incident happened today...when my husband and I were travelling from Colombo to Gampaha in a AC bus. As you all know what is happening in the backseats of an AC bus (Right?). Suddenly he wanted to kiss me. He was really making advances towards me. I rejected saying "cant u do it wen we go home?". I tried several times to explain...he wud say "we are married right?"..."look at the backseats and how they kiss and touch eachother.... cant I touch my "Geni"?....they are really in love" (and a lot more "Bana"). My question is whatever you see in the backseat... is it really love? or sex?
I started saying that love is not sex. And the day he said that he loves me, I am his responsibility and he is responsible for my character and life. I believe its both spouses' responsibility to respect eachother and not to tarnish the character whatsoever...forgive me I am not trying to be traditional...but what U see in the backraw of an AC is LUST.I showed him an girl whom I noticed for many years...I told him that woman overthere who looks like a saint, actually f***ed with guys in the backseat. See ...I remember only the girl not the guys she used to be with. When U go to a Bat's wedding U have to behave like a Bat. Therefore in our culture "the character of a woman" still prevails...she may be with her husband or with the fiance..but still the people will look at in a awkward way. Suppose that a person sees my husband kisses me in the bus and since the world is too small it is sure that person will see me again, that day he/she would point at me and say the same thing that I told to my husband.
If you are really loving your partner...please dont kill her self dignity. Let not others say any bad of her, instead let others respect her.
So, when you are with your lady...please try to burry your wilderness and be a gentlemen.
