"Tiger Air Force have dropped two bombs on the power station," source said.</p><p></p><p>According to security sources, "the air defense system has been currently activated in Colombo and some parts of the city are experiencing blackout.” “A suspicious aircraft was detected over the skies of Colombo a short while ago” according to military sources. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the LTTE may have targeted the Kelanitissa power plant.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Speaking to <em>Sri Lanka Guardian</em>, W. J. Senewiratna the Minister of Electricity says , " the attack did not damage the plant but two cooling fans were reported damaged in the TAF attack". </p><p>But according to reliable sources, fire engines have been dispatched to the Combined Cycle type Kelanithissa power plant which is 163 MW capacity.
