True figures of 'TAF' bombing

The true figures of the casualties in Tuesday's Zlin-143 bombing stands at 10 Naval Ratings killed and around 40 others wounded. Altogether 4 bombs were dropped, each weighing around 25kilos.

One bomb fell straight into a 15x30 Billet and the other fell inside an Officers' Quarters. However, no officers were killed in the explosion. One of the four bombs failed to detonate. The Zlin-143s had taken off from Mulaithivu and had traveled over the sea and entered the Trincomalee Bay from the east.

The target of the bombers had not been the Jetliner as originally thought, but an act to demonstrate to the Tamil Diaspora that the LTTE is still alive and well.

Meanwhile Special Forces LRRP teams struck twice again this evening deep inside LTTE controlled Nedunkerny. Two LTTE cadres, considered to be local area leaders were killed in the attacks. Both were riding motorcycles at the time.

Here's the problem with neither side giving the true account of what really is happening :
That LRDP attack on 2 tigers was reported as a combined SLA and SLAF attack on the tv news while Defencewire says its a hit by LRDP.
Already Pro Govt media is giving 2 stories as to what happened. Its hard to believe that the SLAF would scramble a sortie just to attack 2 LTTE members. Especially a combined attack with the SLA.
Combined attack means a large scale battle where SLAF either flies CAS (something SL is yet to master) or SLAF bombs the forward lines of the LTTE and the SLAF secures those areas the SLAF bombed. A mission of that caliber is hardly carried out to kill just 2 LTTEs unless one of those LTTEs happens to be praba.
While a hit by the LRDP is much more a likely story, none of the main stream media reported it as a hit by the LRDP. So what really killed those 2 tigers ? a joint attack of the SLAF + SLA ? or the LRDP ? or did they step on one of their own land mines and pay the price ?
We will never know. If the Pro Govt media can't stick to one story, the people quickly looses faith in the Govt itself as they no longer trusts what the govt says. The moment that happens, the Govt is in real trouble. So its much better for the Govt. to come clean and report true facts and figures of the war.
Then at least we know that one side is telling the truth and can easily point the finger to the other side and find fault there.
