also many of them living there on refugee visa because of the war in SL... If the war ends they will have to comeback to SL... If the LTTE wiped out and got things better in northern SL they will get deported back to SL... So they are trying their best to save LTTE and keep the war going for another decade..

after 4 years on the refugee status they can apply for PR

most tamils living in the UK are naturalised citizens or have PR

even recent arrivals who currently have refugee status will not be affected by whats going on in Sri lanka
