Why not ? I always site the source when I quote something from a website. That is the proper thing to do. Credits should go to the creator of that work. http://www.ananmanan.com/ is not my personal site or I have no connection to it what so ever. What is the difference between quoting any other site on the net and this one ? Just because it happens to be a Sri Lankan site you say its SPAM ? And I wasn’t just posting some random stuff to propmote some site, I gave the original poster what he asked for, along with due credits to the original source. THAT IS NOT SPAM !

I cited the source to respect the original author's work as GTRZ recomend us to do..

I don't see how my reply can be considered SPAM. I am totally against spamming, And I take it seriously when someone accuses me of doing it. That is why I went to all this trouble to show you ppl that my replay in no way breaks any forum rules or can be considered as SPAM.

Now this violates forum rule number 3. You downloaded it from a Sri Lankan site, edited out the watermark and posted it.

It also unethical because you are posting some one else's work without giving credit

lol you seems to be unfamiliar with ek tradition
as far as I know Posting stuff with the watermaks linked(or displaying) to another SL SITES is prohibited in EK because it directly or indirectly promotes that site via EK ......I also did this once and all I heard is SPAM SPAM SPAM But Unlike you I admit what i've done and stay away from it ... Since I am not the administrator you shud ask this from GTRZ for the further clarifications

I quoted the forum guidelines in the second post. And as you can see, nothing is mentioned about posting watermarked content or URLs of local sites.

If it is really not allowed then I don’t think anyone can post lyrics of that song; unless that person listens to the song and type it by himself. Because if there is another image or a page with lyrics of that song(posted anywhere but EK) then no one can post it here. Because that will violate GTRZ's 3rd rule which says you can't download content from SL sites and post here. It also applies to removing the watermark and reposting.

Editing out a watermark or posting something without citing the original source is plagiarism. That is worse than spamming.

My intention was not to promote that site; I was just trying to help. It is really unfortunate to see that most ppl don't know the meaning of the word spam or the concept of giving credit to an author of a creation.
