There were some guys I know who worked as MTs in Brandix, MAS fabric dyeing & finishing plants and Nestle. Haven't contacted them recently. So don't know whether they are still there or not... Out of these, I personally think Nestle is having a good working environment than dyeing and finishing plants. But they have already called applications for MTs in 2015 and the recruitment process is ongoing. Seems like you are late for that. May be you can try next time.

is it compulsory to have a 1st class or 2nd upper? , i haven't heard something like that , but i guess the preference will be high for the one that got qualification and potential

To get into a blue chip Company or a top Bank yes, you need a class
