Either Islam, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian or Catholic anyone who became extremist towards to other religions. They are law minded people. Every religion above mentioned says to respect other peoples believes & religions..
This has nothing to with being a Muslim. It just number of extremist within Muslim community is more than comparing to other religions. Islam is the most miss-understood religion in the world.
You should ask your self why these attacks never come through CNN, BBC and other international medias. Because they are not targeting Americans and Europeans like in Mumbai. So they don't give a fuck...

Specially in Canada they said they banned LTTE but they still caring LTTE flags to protest against SL gov..
