This thread is for all the mathematics lovers.Post any hard or the sums you can't solve, to this thread so we(EK members) can solve those sums and give the answer or can suggest a way to solve that sum.

Or a hard sum which you have sold.(you can challenge the EK members by that sum)


It is better to post A/L mathematics sums to this thread because there are many A/L students in EK.

Sums related to Maths,Physics,Chemistry & Commerce are accepted(please state whether the sum is maths,physics,chemistry or commerce subject).

Here is the first Challenge from me.

If
x= seca - tana & (a is a variable)
y= coseca-cota


Then prove that

1. x= (y+1)/(y-1)
2. y=(1+x)/1-x)
3. xy+x-y+1=0

May be it's easy for some Ek members, but try it.
