hi everyone,
can someone help me to solve these 2 functions
f(x)=3/4x-5
f(x)=6x-4/x+4

what are the inverse functions for these ?

Inverse means like this....

consider the first one...
3/4x-5

Inverse is 4x+5
you multiply both up and down by that inverse and solve the problem....

f(x)=(6x-4)/(x+4)

well I am often wrong but I think you have to put y=3/(4x-5) and make x the suject..

like this:

4xy-5y=3

4x=3+5y

x=(3+5y)/4y

and finally;

f^-1(x)=(3+5x)/4x

i got these questions for my semester today, not sure whether i got them correct

well I am often wrong but I think you have to put y=3/(4x-5) and make x the suject..

like this:

4xy-5y=3

4x=3+5y

x=(3+5y)/4y

and finally;

f^-1(x)=(3+5x)/4x

1=2

3(x+4)=(4x-5)(6x-4)
3x+12 = 24x(sq) - 46x + 20
24x(sq) - 49x + 8 = 0

solve this from a cal... I think this is correct
