Sure,in this equation,(5-2x)/(2x-5) you can't do anything,so we have to do something to simplyfy it,then v normally do something like this, we use the the opposite sign of the lavaya,ex-(5+2x) and use it to both haraya and lavaya...simple

I have followed this thread closely and with great interest, and in my opinion (as I do not understand any of the SL Languages) Senior Member: senewimala1988 has all of them correct except for the last one, which he could have explained a bit more. Here is how:

(5 - 2x) / (2x - 5)

Multiply and divide both Numerator and Denominator by -1 (since multiplying and dividing by same number will have no affect)

= -1 * (5 - 2x) / {-1 * (2x - 5)}

Solving the denominator only
= -1 * (5 - 2x) / (-2x + 5)

Rearranging the denominator only
= -1 * (5 - 2x) / (5 - 2x)

Now canceling out (5 - 2x) from both numerator and denominator
= -1


CAUTION: The value of x could not be determined in any of the problems that are mentioned as these are algebraic expressions and NOT equation
