yeh some says that the seagate is better than the rest of the brands

I did not compare, what I mentioned - Seagate owns Maxtor - that's it!

No man now Maxtor Own to Segate. "I think this what you ment".Maxtor fireball 3 seems to have problems.check it !

It is other way around i.e. Seagate owns Maxtor!

okay.. maxtor hard drives r ok.. mine died after 3 yrs.. but its an acceptable age
