What does it mean ? I think Colombo 2 years general one is perfect
I was commenting in general about MBA courses. Not specific to Colombo or PIM. The demand for MBA has fallen everywhere in the world. In fact, Western Universities are planning to drop the MBA within a few years. Instead they will offer combined degrees which will cover the content of MBA as well.
The days are gone where employers prized an MBA. Some have already started doing this.
Most MBA's ended up being failures for themselves & for the workplace. The main reason being many with a finance or a commerce degree ended up doing an MBA got the controlling positions in several service or engineering oriented sectors. Naturally these guys started cost cutting measures without ever having any knowledge about how the industry worked. This ended up in disaster. In banking or in running a supermarket chain it would have worked.
The fault wasn't the MBA itself. In Germany, mostly it was the engineers with an MBA who were running the industry. That makes it much different.
What I said is that the MBA programs are on the decline. If you are in a position that it's going to improve your career, then go ahead.
