A devastating epidemic is spreading across America, taking millions of lives.
Many people want to ignore it. Some deny it's even a problem.
Almost 40% of people deny science and ignore the recommendations of medical experts.
    It's called obesity.

True.. The crap fast foods with excessive fat, salt , sugar coupled with more sedentary lifestyles are the primary reasons for obesity in both children & adults. The conditions we live in, referred to as SDOH (Social Determinants Of Health) play a part.
Only in very rare cases it runs in the family. A specific variant of a single gene (monogenic obesity) can be hereditary.

Needless to say that increased BMI poses several major risks in terms of heart disease, high BP, diabetes, musculoskeletal disorders and certain types of cancers.

It's easy to get away from sugar... It's so easy to raise kids without sugar as long as you do it from their infancy.
