actually.. different cultures and customs influence the 'style' of the Buddha statue...

have seen loads of different representations in Singapore temples (ppl donate Buddhu statues).. slight differences thiyanawa.. not like the 'normal' statues we c in sri lanka..
chinese, thai,burmese and hav even seen greek influences.. chutti differences, same Buddha tho..

lankawe thienna theravada buddhism ne.. there r other sub divisons of buddhism too..

Thats true buddy.. But I have seen this statue by my real eyes.. Thats not a statue of buddha.. Thatsa statue of a worrier...

i have seen those kind of different statues too but lets hope in this case its not a lord Buddhas statues
