Edinburgh woman who spent £100k on Sri Lankan 'toy boy' fights to get her cash back after his murder
Diane, 61, was exploited by her husband and his family after they drained her life savings

An Edinburgh woman has been fighting to recover her life savings after spending thousands of pounds on her bigamous Sri Lankan husband.

Diane Peebles, 61, is fighting to reclaim some of her assets after her husband, Priyajana, who was 33 years her junior, was shot dead.


After a horrendous ordeal, Diane, who is now back in Scotland, is trying to build her life back together after being abandoned, exploited and hurt, reports the Daily Record.

Diane met Priyanjana when she was 53 and he was 20, and were quickly married after a brief holiday romance. After returning for a few holidays, she made the huge decision to leave her life in Edinburgh and move permanently to Sri Lanka to live with her husband.

A council worker from Musselburgh, Diane sold her £105,000 home and took early retirement to move across the world.
