i dont think people intend to listen to her songs because she got a refuge story..
i even doubt whether these people kno that she's sri lankan when they listening to her songs and that she has refugee status....
im sure as hell this would be a great moment for us even she wasn't to be or if she wasn't claimed to be making funds for LTTE

paper planes was the song that got her lot of attention

the song peaked #4 on the Billboard Hot 100

the movie pineapple express made the song go big

we may not like her but she made it to top 5 on the billboard

that's huge for a sri lankan/person of sri lankan decent


she lived in Mitcham, which is close to where i live

her song paperplane was released couple of years before Slumdog movie... But not many ppl other than LTTE supporters around the world bought her music... Her music mostly hanged around LTTE supporters youtube accounts... Even Dilon made a song against as a reply to paperplane couple of years back.. And youtube recently started taking out his reply to paperplane which was living on youtube for years till slumdog...
All those Billboard & and other things came after those movies... Every TV interview she goes she talks about her past in SL & news feeds from TamilNet to sell more records and get more attention... But she never talks about how her father played a huge role with Prbhakaran to start a terrorism in SL...

till you die you have the citizenship

if you have children you can give them the citizenship regardless of place of birth

she shud be born in uk n she be live their till 18
or she shuda get it by naturalization
as i pointed out earlier
she cudnt have got the citizenship from the jus soli

she shuda got it by naturalization
