“Miss” understanding
Some troops were stationed in a remote part of the Western Desert. One day a Brigadier flew in on inspection. They tried to keep him away form a thorn thicket that lay on the edge of the camp, but he would not have it so, and forced his way into the small enclosure. In the middle was a scruffy female CAMEL.
Very suspiciously he bawled:
“What the hell’s all these?”
The young lieutenant in charge explained that the place was a terrible long way from any woman, and this camel was kept for the use of the men when they got desperate, the Brigadier said it was disgusting:
“Get rid of the wretched animal at once”
It so happened that some time later the Brigadier was actually posted to that camp, and after a few weeks he sent for the lieutenant and asked what had become of the CAMEL.
“After you’d gone, sir we put it back in the thicket”.
That night when all was still the sentry saw the Brigadier enter the thicket carrying a stool on which he stood and began to have intercourse with the CAMEL
“Hi Sir! You’re making a terrible mistake; the camel is only for the troops to ride to the nearest town on”
