then I can get the 890/- package. That has speed of 1 mbps. Only the 1290/- package is supposed to have 3.6 mbps speed.
No point in paying 1290 for the same speed as 890.

mobitel gives 1 mbps connections even for Daily Delight packages. They give 1 mbps for 240/- (upahara), 490/- and 890/- packages. I know cause I've tried all those sims. No one I know has the 1290/- sim to test that package. Thats why I put this thread.

ADSL fails pretty badly distances over 5 km. Besides, as he said, SLT says they have no loops at his area to give him a connection.

no one can't tell constant 1mbps data download. it depend on how much user's connected to tower and how many users downloading same time.

in some rural areas , can get 1mbps nearly all times....

machan suntel wala wimax 512kbps aka mase bill aka Rs 4000

Suntel gives XDSL connections. You get a guaranteed 512kbps download and upload speed. Other broadband connections does no give guaranteed speeds and their down/up ratio is 4/1.
Thats why that connection is more expensive.
