Haha.. Well, yeh kind of.. But my main point is the Comfort and the individuality.. :D I already skiped to a 'NO' :D eaka nisa maara wade, i can not oppose u :D

Anyway as many said its better to have a uniform to make it equal. But should give some 3, 4 options or colours to choose from. So you can be somewhat unique if you need it.

No. In real life, people aren't all the same. They don't look the same, they don't think the same, they don't act the same...if school is to teach kids ANYTHING about life after graduation, uniforms cannot be instated. If the administration is too lazy to discipline students who dress inappropriately, that's THEIR problem. Let the vast majority who dress correctly be allowed to wear what they want.

Furthermore, administrators should not fool themselves thinking that uniforms would prevent cliques and bullying. These things are caused by the personalities and behaviors of students, not by what they wear. However, what they wear is influenced by their personalities, obviously, so that's where that misconception comes from.

Actually uniforms would prvent cliques and bullying, like i said earlier uniforms will remove all cast and money barriers, all the students will be trated the same, I'm pretty sure that a kid with dirty raggy clothes would have less attention and less freinds and would be subjected to bullying, besides most of the uniform clothes in srilanka are give free to the kids !!! and you know why that is ? cuz most people cant afford it ! So yeah ! now dont tell let the rich kids where the good clothes and the poors to were the free ones !:no:

    Yes Yes Yes.

Uniforms serve as a great equalizer.

Good topic sis. Rep+. Forums are for discussion, and this is an issue that everyone can relate to and put forward their views, without getting all emotional and end up bashing each other. (like what happens in political threads)

It also is very interesting to see what people in Sri Lanka genuinely feel about such issues.

We should have more threads like this in EK, instead of all the copy/paste threads and 18+ threads.
