Any Magnetic Fields near the Monitor including Tel,network and power lines ? :)
Magnets do not affect LCD monitors at all if they (magnets) are not moving very fast.

Those Pixels are dead. There is no easy solution for this. have to replace either the LCD panel or the circuit, or may be both.

PC house eken needa gatte?

This is fault in monitors horizontal section. so this can covered by your warranty..

but this problem only popped up today, I've had the monitor for more than 6 months

a friend of mine said he had a similar problem, it was a vertical red line, and that it got fixed by itself after some time

not CRT ,it's an LCD

It did not buy it from PC house,,, I bought it from NEAT Lanka

NEAT is a neat place, as the name says it. Get it replaced on warrenty period.

The problem is definetely inside the monitor box.. Surely not a problem on VGA or Cable.

This problem is only on LCD monitors

It could be a single dead pixel, a vertical line or horizontal. Chances are very low for it to fix by itself, (unless it have the Self Recovery Mode:lol:)

A friend of mine also bought an LCD from PC house and had the same problem. No other LCD screen (bought from anywhere else) I have seen had this problem. That's why I have thought that this is bought from PC house.
