This notice is published in the public interest under section 37 of the Finance Companies Act,
No. 78 of 1988 to inform the public that consequent to an examination conducted under
section 11 of the said Act, the Monetary Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka has
determined that
Okanda Finance (Private) Limited
the registered office of which is located at
No.22/1A, Waidya Road, Dehiwala
is carrying on finance business in contravention of the provisions of the said Act.
The public is informed that the said company is not a registered finance company and is not
authorized to carry on finance business by accepting money from the public as deposits or
in any other form and the lending of money on interest and/or the investment of money in any
manner whatsoever.
As per the forms filed with the Registrar of Companies by Okanda Finance (Private) Limited,
Manikku Badaturuge Okanda Silva is the present director of the company.
