More roads closed for SAARC

People are facing severely inconveniences due to unannounced closure of roads that were not included in four security zones and new traffic arrangements for the 15th SAARC summit in Colombo.

One such road is the stretch of Galle road between Wellawatta Bridge to Mt Lavinia Junction that will remain closed between 11.00 am and 12.00 noon and from 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

Police say that vehicles proceeding to Colombo will be diverted at Maliban Junction in Ratmalana and directed via Attidiya, Pepiliyana and Kohuwala.
Also, vehicles from Colombo will be rerouted at Wellawatta Junction to Kalubowila Hospital Road to Kohuwala and access Galle road from Pepiliyana.
