Only one thing can do.

Hire a servant and make him clean it regularly.

I have an idea to have a pond like this. But cleaning is the main problem. After we lost the interest it will be a disaster.

With direct sunlight you will get a lot of algea. so regular cleaning ins't helpful/practical. Also you will have to rare fish to make sure no mosquitos come.
