Tank (Dane Cook) is put to the ultimate friendship test when his best friend Dustin (Jason Biggs) hires him to take his ex-girlfriend Alexis (Kate Hudson) on a lousy date just to show her how great her former boyfriend is. Killer Nurse

"Killer Nurse" has what we've come to expect from Ulli's recent work -- long, repetitive scenes with what appears to be partially improvised dialog and all the stuff you might be interested in seeing (nudity and violence) either blurred out, filmed in poor lighting, or with bizarre editing, all designed so that you can't actually see any of it. Personally, I have an odd and inexplicable affection for his films -- possibly because I find a couple of his usual actresses to be very attractive -- but it's very hard to recommend anybody spend any money on this flick.

And -- though Herzog declares he's not "making another film about penguins" -- we meet a penguin researcher who answers the filmmaker's questions about homosexuality and insanity in his subjects. We also meet an individualist penguin, who breaks away from the other birds to run toward the mountains, facing certain death

The comparison is fateful - for better (as "unavoidable") and worse (as "suicidal"). The main fault lays in the characters (none has the perverse charm of Gondorff and Hooker) and in those parts of the script that depict the heists (not by far as ingenious as in the best movies of the genre, but neither as hair-pulled and flat as in the "Ocean..." series). Fortunately, the direction is fast-paced and stylish, so this saves the day more or less. And... okay, I won't spoil the ending, but one thing should be stated: it's totally unlikely. You do NOT pull such an elaborate farce, ONLY to send screaming in a motor boat without fuel in the middle of the Mediterranean.

Mission Impossible II
