Inspector Saman Sigera, HQI of Vavuniya has been transferred to Colombo on special order of the IGP for doing his job – removing President Rajapakse’s posters. Inspector Sigera has been hailed as a courageous and an impartial police officer by all in Vavuniya. Sources confirm that despite being ordered by the top not to remove the President’s posters, Inspector Sigera had done so and had finally earned the wrath of the powers that be, resulting in his sudden transfer to Colombo. The government has planned to carry out a mass scale degrading campaign against apolitical Common Candidate Gen. Sarath Fonseka today. A newspaper supplement character assassinating Gen. Fonseka is being printed at ‘Rivira’ press at the moment. Arrangements have been made to distribute this ‘paper’ throughout the island.
Meanwhile, arrangements have been made to telecast several programmes insulting Gen. Sarath Fonseka over ‘Rupavahini’ and ITN channels throughout tomorrow (26th). According to information a programme prepared using a prostitute is one such programme.
Pragith Eknaligoda of Lanka E News , who bravely defied the state propaganda machinery, has been reported missing from last night (24), according to his wife who has tried several times to contact him on his mobile phone. He was last seen leaving his Rajagiriya office at around 8 pm last night.
