We appreciate her victory. But what she says does not appear to be 100% true that she can't speak Sinhala very well. I think she pretends to be like that. She has studied at a local school in Kandana. Even her foreign stays have been in the middle east NOT anywhere such as Australia, NZ or the UK .
So there is NO reason for her to forget or stuck with Sinhala as she has never lived in european or western countries.
The other thing is, her knowledge of English & the way she handles the language appear to be so weak. I saw her saying a few sentences in English when thanking to people in SL . Most of the sentences were grammatically wrong and she has a very nursery vocabulary though she appears to be a catholic burger since childhood.
All her conversations and interviews have been done in Sinhalese language so far. There are no proper voice cuts or interviews she had done in English after coming to SL even if she says that English is very familiar to her than Sinhala.
There is no jealousy or anything but just thought of expressing my ideas as to what I have seen from her voice cuts and short interviews.
